Service Description

Become a prehistoric hunter and learn how to survive the Stone Age! Activities include: - Learn how to explore nature and forage for materials to make a prehistoric spear - Learn how to make your prehistoric spear and decorate it - Practice how to hunt and throw a prehistoric spear at a wicker target - Celebrate your hunt and create a cave painting in our hidden cave tunnel using ancient art techniques. Complete the experience by cooking delicious marshmallows over a real prehistoric camp fire! Activity duration: 3 hours. Materials: All equipment and consumables are supplied. Information for families: These family workshops are aimed at children from 6 to 13 years old but are suitable for children of all ages. Adults are encouraged to take part too. Hot and cold drinks, ice cream and snacks are available to purchase in our Park in the Past café. Please note: It is advisable to wrap up warm and bring wellies as this activity is outside. We will also be cooking around a small fire and be making paint using earth, raw egg, lard and charcoal - it gets messy! Children must be supervised. We cannot accommodate unaccompanied children, Sorry no dogs except assistance dogs. If anyone has any disabilities, please let us know in advance so we can do our best to accommodate you. The Cave Painting Experience is difficult to access by wheelchair. Price: Children: £10 Adults £7 ​
