About Your Workshop

Welcome to our fun and hands on two-hour family-friendly art workshop, where we embark on a journey through the captivating world of medieval margin art! Inspired by the playful, humorous, and sometimes peculiar illustrations found in Medieval manuscripts, this workshop invites children ages 7 and over, and accompanying Adults to explore the artistic techniques and historical context behind these fascinating creations. Throughout the workshop, you will learn about the importance of these margin illustrations as a form of storytelling, entertainment, and even social commentary during the medieval period. Attendees will learn to use the techniques employed by medieval artists, such as ink and quill drawing, mixing earth pigments, and creating intricate patterns and illustrations, all while adhering to the historical accuracy of the medium. Adults are encouraged to join in too, either creating your own artwork, or assisting your child - this is not a stand and watch experience! Cancellation Policy

Our cancelation policy states that attendees may cancel or reschedule a workshop up to 48 hours before the scheduled date. Failure to do so will result in the attendee being charged the full workshop fee. If Arteology cancels the workshop for any reason, the attendee will be reimbursed in full. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our cancelation policy.
