Park in the Past family activity sessions
New for Easter, our 3 hour family friendly activity sessions are held at Park in the Past near Wrexham, in beautiful North Wales. ( Park in the Past, Fagle Lane, Hope, LL12 9HB )
These are fully immersive group activities, suitable for all the family .
The session price £10 per child, £7 per adult (under 4yrs Free) for up to 12 people, so you can bring family and friends. Your personal group leader, Fee, will lead you through all the activities and all art materials and marshmallows are included.
Contact us if your group has any extra needs or mobility issues, or if you need to add extra people.
Our group activity sessions also make for unusual Birthday Parties - for all ages! - If you would like to book a Birthday Party session, just let us know. Contact Here

'Step into the Stone' and 'Survive the Stone Age'.
at Park in the Past.
Easter at Park in the Past kicks off with the choice of two fun-filled family friendly heritage activities in our prehistoric realm with our professional resident artist Fee Jackson.
Step into the Stone Age Fri 7th, Sat 8th, Sun 9th, Mon 10th April 2023
Travel back thousands of year to experience prehistoric life and enjoy these varied activities:
- Learn about the art of cave paintings, who made them and why
- Make your own natural 'earth paint' and learn how to use it
- Learn how to paint your own pebble 'rock art' or 'wood art' decoration to take home
- Create a contemporary cave painting, in our hidden cave tunnel using ancient art techniques.
Complete the experience by cooking delicious marshmallows over a real prehistoric camp fire!

Morning workshop session starts at 10am - 1pm , Afternoon workshop stars 2pm - 5pm.
There is time for a break during the workshop, so bring a snack,or pop into the lovely cafe at Park in the Past

Survive the Stone Age! Fri 14th, Sat 15th, Sun 16th April 2023
Become a prehistoric hunter and learn how to survive the Stone Age! Activities include:
- Learn how to explore nature and forage for materials to make a prehistoric spear
- Learn how to make your prehistoric spear and decorate it
- Practice how to hunt and throw a prehistoric spear at a target
- Celebrate your hunt and create a cave painting in our hidden cave tunnel using ancient art techniques.
Complete the experience by cooking delicious marshmallows over a real prehistoric camp fire!
Activity duration: 3 hours.

Information for families: These family workshops are aimed at children from 6 to 13 years old but are suitable for children of all ages. Adults are encouraged to take part too.
Hot and cold drinks, ice cream and snacks are available to purchase in the dog friendly Park in the Past café.
Please note:
It is advisable to wrap up warm and bring wellies as this activity is outside and the cave is often wet and muddy. We will also be cooking around a small fire and be making paint using earth, raw egg, lard and charcoal - it gets messy!
Children must be supervised. We cannot accommodate unaccompanied children
Sorry no dogs except assistance dogs.

The Cave Painting Experience is difficult to access by wheelchair, we can provide and alternative surface for you to paint on, so you won't miss out.
